TCFA NAMES OFFICERS, BOARD


The Texas Cattle Feeders Association (TCFA), during its "Exploring New Horizons" Annual Convention today in San Antonio, named the officers and directors who will lead the group for the coming year.

Paul H. Hitch of Guymon, Okla. was elected chairman of the board;

Jim B. Waterfield of Canadian was chosen chairman-elect; and Paul F. Engler of Amarillo was elected vice chairman.

Cattle feeders elected to a one-year term on the board of directors were

Ellison Carter of Santo; Paul H. Hitch of Guymon; Barry Josserand of Hereford;

Odis (Bo) Kizziar of Dalhart; Terry Scott of Dumas; Charles T. Sellers of Amarillo; and E.W. Williams, Jr. of Amarillo.

Elected to two year terms were David S. DeLaney of Amarillo; Michael Engler of Amarillo; Jim Lowder of Amarillo; Don Oppliger of Farwell; James M. Peters of Laredo; and Jim B. Waterfield of Canadian.

Elected to three-year terms were Tommy Bell of Dalhart; Paul F. Engler of Amarillo; Byron N. Gossett of Amarillo; Rex McCloy of Morse; Dan McWhorter of Hereford; and John Rakestraw of Boulder, Colo. In addition, the two immediate past chairmen serve as members of the board. They are Jim Schwertner of Schwertner and Bob Sims of Hereford.

TCFA represent cattle feeders in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, an area that produces 32% of the nation's fed cattle.
